What clients say

From the people who've worked with me

Fame joined us when we were losing technical pitches we should have been winning. Within 3 months we landed a project we'd have passed on before - and delivered it. The ROI on the retainer was obvious within weeks.

Managing Director

London Digital Agency

As a non-technical founder, I was flying blind on every technical decision. Fame made the whole process feel manageable - I understood what we were building, why, and what it would cost. I wouldn't have got the investment without him.

Frequently asked questions

I work with creative and digital agencies that want to confidently take on more complex technical projects — without hiring a full-time CTO. I also partner with non-technical founders who need senior technical leadership to move faster, de-risk decisions, and communicate clearly with investors and stakeholders. If you're based in London or working remotely across the UK, I can step in as your fractional CTO from day one.

For agencies, I'm most useful when you're winning some technical work but losing bigger, more complex briefs — and feel you're hitting a ceiling in terms of in-house technical depth. For startups and product businesses, I typically come in from MVP onwards, when you need to scale, harden, and professionalise your technology to become investor-ready and operationally robust.

The four core problems I solve are: losing pitches to more technically credible competitors; struggling to deliver complex, multi-system builds reliably; underpricing technical work and eroding margins; and carrying unpredictable delivery risk on large projects. I help you shape solutions for complex briefs, price them properly against real delivery effort, and ship them without the late-stage surprises.

I help founders turn a vague product idea into a clear, prioritised technical roadmap — covering milestones, dependencies, and realistic timelines. I also help you choose the right architecture from the start (monolith vs. modular, headless vs. traditional, when to go composable) so you don't over-engineer or box yourself in too early. And I support you in building or overseeing a dev team that's accountable and capable rather than a black box.

Day to day, my work covers technical strategy (aligning technology decisions with your commercial goals), architecture design and review, delivery oversight with in-house or external teams, pitch and client support for agencies, and coaching your existing technical leaders and developers. It's senior, focused involvement — not an extra pair of hands in the sprint.

Most clients work with me in one of two ways: an ongoing monthly retainer where I act as your embedded fractional CTO, available for leadership, decision-making, and key meetings; or a focused fixed-scope engagement such as a pitch support sprint, architecture review, technical due diligence, or roadmap session. We can start with a focused piece and move into an ongoing arrangement once we know we're a good fit.

Short-term engagements — audits, architecture reviews, pitch support — typically run a few weeks to 2–3 months. Ongoing fractional CTO arrangements usually run 6–12 months or more, covering multiple releases, repeated pitches, or funding rounds. There's no minimum commitment on focused projects, so it's easy to start.

I'm based in London and work remote-first with clients across the UK and internationally. For key moments — workshops, quarterly planning, or major client and investor meetings — I'm happy to travel and meet in person where it adds real value.

I use a simple, transparent pricing model: a monthly retainer for ongoing fractional CTO support based on an agreed number of days per month, or fixed-fee projects for clearly scoped work such as audits, roadmaps, or pitch support — so you always know the cost upfront. Both options deliver senior CTO-level input at a fraction of a full-time hire, with none of the employment overhead.
